6/29/21: Fishing has picked up significantly as the lake rolled over after last weekend’s thunderstorms. Lake water temperatures have begun to stratify. As there are some fish being caught in the 40 ft range most are being taken in 60-100 ft of water on various colors and presentations. Flashers and flies as well as a good spoon bite over the past weekend produced large quantities of quality lake trout and few salmon. Spiny fleas have made their return so there will be some challenges with lines being fouled with this pesky plankton. Fishing should continue to get better as the lake stratifies and summer patterns come into play.
